What to Expect with PRP Treatment?

At Sky Infusions and Medspa, we start by applying topical anesthetics numbing cream to the treatment area. Your blood will be drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate platelets from your red blood cell. The medical provider will draw up syringes of platelet rich plasma and inject into the scalp area. The injection of PRP will cause a chain reaction with the hair follicles and stimulate hair growth. It is a minimally noninvasive procedure. Some redness, bruising and swelling at the end of the procedure are normal. Also, a slight headache that day or the next day can happen. Advice to take Tylenol or Advil if needed.

How Long Does It Take?

There is no set protocol for treatment; however, we recommend One session per month for 4 months. Then 6 months later and annually thereafter. The process takes about 1 hour and one might start noticing hair growth improvement in about 2- 6 weeks.
